Letter from Lalande in Paris to Mme. Dupiery in Montmorency on February 14. Letter to Mme. Dupiery describes a new lunar discovery by Lalande. Lalande describes "ciel lunaire phenomenon asser rare". In addition, Lalande mentions M. Gohier, director of the French Directory, as a friend to astronomy.

Letter from Lalande to Mme. Dupiery on March 22. Lalande writes that he has arrived at the Gohier home in safety with an agreeable voyage. The Madame received him with good hospitality and his voyage left him with an appetite.

Letter from Lalande to Mme. Dupiery. Lalande begins by asking pardon for his long break in correspondence. He makes that statement that he is lazy and busier than Mme. Dupiery. Lalande desribes that the song of the nightingale is Dupont in Douai, France. In addition he writes about how his continuing communication with the English is amicable. He also writes of a new muse in Mad. Joliveau.

Letter from Lalande in Paris to Mme. Dupiery in Marceil. Lalande writes Mme. Dupiery on April 1 to set up a visit between them. He finds the date of April 24, 1779 to be the most favorable for this visit. He also writes about the Conventions efforts, saying they will soon be able to produce and reproduce. He also mentions that Beauchamps has arrived to prepare for his voyage to Arabia, and that Beauchamps is a nominee for Consul Mascate.
